Miss Commentbox and I just returned from an evening stroll and thought you should really see a picture of our beach at sunset. This is the southern end of the beach, and the pool is filled and emptied by the changing tide. There was one lone swimmer doing laps, and a very long and beautiful horizon.
Good night everyone.

All these beach pictures fill me with melancholy. Why, I wonder? A word I love in Swedish is "vemod" and it means something like bitter sweetness, longing and looking far away over the mountains. Your photos do that to me. It's an enjoyable feeling.
I like this one the best of all...
Thanks for a beautiful week, Eleanor. I love swiming in ocean pools, they're my favourite spots because I can enjoy the salty water, the tidal pull, the sandy feet without the fear that accompanies paddling out past the break. I've done that twice and it nearly did me in both times.
What a lovely beach it is!
I was on my way to that ocean pool you have there, when I remembered I'd already had dinner and and a beer and how you're not supposed to swim on a full stomach.
Damn.
Maybe tomorrow.
Those lovely faded pinks and blues - so beautiful..
and my wv is fruffie
surely you can invent an activity to do with the word fruffie!

Please don't say this is the last visit to the beach! I feel like I do at the end of a holiday. I have loved every post in this series.
