It's pouring with rain this morning, but not quite as chilly as yesterday...or maybe that's just because it's not as early. There is almost nobody around, although the flags are up. I walk slowly under my big red umbrella, noticing one of the regular swimmers walking along the beach with her friend. She is probably in her late 60s (if not 70s) and I see her almost every day going off for her ocean swim with her swim-cap and snorkel.

I love that you are starting your Thursday just as I am ending my Wednesday, my friend on the other side of the world.
Oh that does look chilly there this morning.
Am shivering at the thought of an early morning ocean swim. What a good friend she has to help her. When we're old, I'll come hold your fleece for you.
Quite big waves there! How is the undertow? My home slice of the Atlantic (in SC) only gets waves like that when big storms are out at sea, or heading inland, so I'm quite impressed.
I would love to swim with the lady in red. What an adventure!
I have heard of such people but never seen them before.
